Study Further:

According to analysts at Advanced Research Japan Co., a Tokyo-based research firm, Apple would launch two television sets by the fourth quarter of 2014. These ultra-high definition TV sets will have 55 and 65-inch screens.

The televisions are said to be “frameless”. Most probably, the company will get the services of Taiwan’s Foxconn Technology Group.

Rumors of the TV sets by the company are there for years but the rumors got strength in 2011 after the death of Steve Jobs and after the release of his biography reporting that he had figured out a way to revolutionize TV.

From Bloomberg,

“Chief Executive Officer Tim Cook said May 29 that TV is an area of “intense focus” for Apple as it seeks to add products that can build on the success of Macs, iPhones and iPads.”
