Sony-UK has introduced Intel’s Ivy Bridge powered Vaio S series laptops

Sony-UK has announced the new, faster and smarter Intel’s Ivy Bridge integrated Vaio S series laptops. These laptops are available in two screen sizes i.e. 33.7cm (13.3 inch) and 39.5cm (15.5 inch), with the VAIO S series 13 and 15, so that they can be easily fit into the travel bag.

These laptops are made up of tough yet light materials like magnesium, aluminum and carbon fibers. These materials causes even the VAIO 15 series to weigh less than 2kg.

The keyboards come with backlights and complemented by a large “button-free” touchpad with gesture control.

The laptops have 3rd generation Intel Core™ i7 quad-core processors with the Core i7-3612QM available on the VAIO SVS1511W9E (on selected S Series 15 models). They have optional SSD storage and powerful NVIDIA GeForce GT 640M LE GPU + Intel HD Graphics 4000 dynamic hybrid graphics to meet the needs of entertainment and your daily work. xLOUD and Clear Phase audio technologies along with Dolby Home Theatre improves not only movie experience but also web chatting.

Some S series models have become even more prolific by the provision of high-speed LTE/3G WWAN mobile broadband.

VAIO S series come with a new optional docking station integrating a 500GB HDD up to 1TB. There’s an optional sheet battery that increases the life of the laptop for up to 14 hours.
