Fastest growing online jobs

Business Process Ourtsourcing (BPO) is the fastest growing online job showing a growth of 303% as reported by FreeLancer.com, which is an outsourcing and crowdsouring marketplace. Among other fastest growing online jobs are “Data Processing”, “Copy Typing”, “Web Search”, “Virtual Assistant”, “PDF converters and editors” and “Data Entry” operators.

“We have seen a huge increase in outsourcing on the whole, with businesses rethinking their strategies moving into the New Year,” Barrie said.

In this quarter, about 170,000 jobs were posted while in the previous quarter about 130,000 jobs were posted.

“Projects are up over 30% compared to the previous quarter. The huge growth in outsourcing is made up of a wide range of different types of projects being completed in countries all across the globe,” Barrie said.

“In a difficult global economic climate, businesses are looking to optimize their cost base and are therefore looking to online freelancers as a profit driver. This has seen significant job growth on the Freelancer.com marketplace despite challenging broader economic conditions,” Barrie said.

Mobile app developers for both iPhone and Android devices have also seen an increasing demand by more than 25%.
