AIDS (Acquired immune deficiency syndrome or acquired immunodeficiency syndrome) is a serious disorder caused by a virus and harm one’s immunity system. It is caused by HIV virus (human immuno deficiency virus) and eventually gets worse as the disease continues.
Points related to the spread of AIDS:
The virus transmitted in many days through following sources.
1. sexual intercourse (including oral sex and anal sex).
2. contaminated blood transfusions
3. hypodermic needles..
4. It can be transmitted by any contact of a mucous membrane or the bloodstream with a bodily fluid that has the virus in it, such as the blood, semen, vaginal fluid, preseminal fluid, or breast milk from an infected person.
5. Exchange between infected mother and baby during pregnancy, childbirth, and breastfeeding.
This vius is contagious but not infectious so casual contact such as hugging, Mosquitoes, Participation in sports, Touching items that were touched by a person infected with the virus does not help HIV in spreading.
Common symptoms are:
Chills, Fever, Sweats, Swollen lymph glands, Weakness, Weight loss.
The treatment of AIDS is not yet found but a lot of researches related to cure are in process in which researchers are trying to make a vaccine of HIV but I suggest prevention as we all know prevention is better then cure.
