Apple Inc. has released two updates today. One update is a slightly adjusted version of iOS 5.0.1r2 (9A406) for iPhone 4S, which is almost same to the version of iOS 5.0.1 released last month, and the other is for Apple TV i.e. new version 4.4.4.
According to iDownloadBlog, this version of iOS 5.0.1r2 “features decrypted ramdisks, which means that it now possible to write a script to download the 5.0.1 and extract the necessary files needed for a Siri port.”
With the public availability of download from Apple’s server, it has been shown to become legal to run Siri on other devices.
iPhone 4S users may not be instructed automatically to download and install the update but you may download it here and installing it with iTunes.
For Apple TV update, go to settings and choose update. Minor bug fixes and stability updates will occur.
