Charging cars from the roads with the steels’ belts in the tires of the car

Researchers have presented the concept of wireless energy transfer from the road through the steel belts in the tires to the electric car.

This study has been done by researchers at Toyohashi University of Technology (Japan) and has been published online in the IEEE MTT-S International Microwave Workshop Series on Innovative Wireless Power Transmission.

Apple applies for patent of wireless charging system

Apple Inc. has applied for a patent of wireless charging system with the title of “Wireless power utilization in a local computing environment“. Now sooner it will be a reality to charge an iOS device, wirelessly, from a computer system by simply placing it closer to it.

In this case, “midrange wireless power transfer physics” will work i.e. near field magnetic resonance (NFMR) will help to charge the devices within 1 meter of the power base. Now to charge an iPhone or iPad or iPod, it will not be necessary to have a charger with you but necessary is to be near to a source of NFMR for charging your device. Continue reading
