Google and Lenovo’s new Chromebook

Lenovo Thinkpad Chromebook (Credit: Google)Lenovo, a Chinese multinational electronics company, has announced a Chrombook, i.e. ThinkPad X131e Chromebook.

This Chromebook is operating on Chrome OS with a strong and resilient design for the school environment. It has “a rubber bumper around the top cover, stronger corners, reinforced hinges and hinge brackets, and a high definition (HD) LED anti-glare screen”. It has 11.6’’ (1366×768) display and 3.9 lbs / 1.8 kg of weight. It has 16 GB of solid state drive, 2x USB 3.0 while 1x USB 2.0, 1x HDMI Port and 1x VGA Port. Read more…

Lenovo introduces multi-touch screen table computer

Lenovo, Chinese computer manufacturer, has introduced a giant touchscreen Table PC with a 27 inch screen having 17.8 pounds of weight. It is called as IdeaCentre Horizon.

This computer can be used as an “interactive table” or as a conventional PC. This computer has been introduced by the company at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas on Sunday.

Lenovo is biggest direct competitor of HP in PC market

Lenovo, Chinese PC maker, becomes the top PC maker of the world as reported by the research firm, Gartner.

According to the company’s recent report, Lenovo shipped 13.8 million units in the third quarter that is even more than that shipped by Hewlett-Packard (HP). In that time, HP shipped 13.55 million units.
