Location of the Kabul Restaurant

Kabul Restaurant is a restaurant with the dishes that are specialty of Afghanistan, or more specifically Kabul. At the time of writing this article, Kabul Restaurant is one of the top ten restaurants in Islamabad, according to TripAdvisor. This restaurant is located in F-7 Markaz, Jinnah Super Market, Islamabad, Pakistan. The restaurant has a large space to park the cars, so the visitors can find it easy to go to the restaurant in their own cars.

Rating and other experiences related to the restaurant

Kabul Restaurant mostly serves the Afghani/Kabli food or Asian food. The environment of the restaurant is simple, i.e. it would not give any sort of executive or royal feeling, but it is just friendly. The restaurant has several people, who have been hired to serve the customers in special black uniform.

The restaurant can be considered as one of the unique restaurants as it gives the feelings of being in Afghanistan or Kabul. (Among the other unique restaurants that I visited are Monal restaurant located on Margalla Hills in Islamabad that is unique for the beautiful scenery; The Smokey Cauldron that is unique for giving a special Harry Potter styled environment in Islamabad, and Alaumdah Restaurant that is unique for giving Egyptian food in Dubai, UAE). Many tourists and people from other nations also come to the restaurant. Nevertheless, we found the indoor setting awesome, though at the times of rush, customers may have to wait to be seated.

Menu and the dishes we ordered

The menu contains several dishes with Afghani or Kabli specialty. We ordered “Afghani Kebab”, “Afghani Tikkah”, “Qabli Pulao”, “Mutton Karahi”, “Mantoo”, “Afghani Naan”, “Chatni”, and “Salad”. The restaurant served “Kofta saalan” complimentary with “Qabli Pulao”.

The taste of every dish was awesome and slightly different from the Pakistani dishes. The Qabli Pulao is different from the Pakistani Pulao as it contains sort of raisins. The Chatni was also very tasty that can be used with food items, such as Afghani Kebab and Afghani Tikkah. Mantoo is also referred as Beef Dumpling. We ordered it because of its difference from other Pakistani dishes. If you have ever visited Turkish restaurants, you may find that the taste of dishes in Kabul Restaurant is close to the Turkish dishes. Nevertheless, the food was not costly, so that the customers can eat a lot of food-related items without spending much amount. Our experience of eating and sitting there was very good.

If you have ever visited this restaurant, you may share your experience with me in the comments.
