Google image search: “Blackberry” yields no natural blackberry, “Tablet” yields no pharmaceutical tablet

Google image search is among the most used products of the Google. It is good but sometimes even Google’s algorithm is not completely working according to the expectations.

Back in October, an image search for Google became hype, when the phrase “completely wrong” gave the photos of Mitt Romney, Republican Party’s nominee for President of the United States in the 2012 election. Still it is showing (many photos of) Mitt Romney as the hype linked the word with the name.

There are some other (less serious) things that Google image search is not considering.

Write “Blackberry” in the Google Image search and you will not (probably) see the photos of Blackberry fruits in the top results. It gives the results of only Blackberry devices.

Write “Tablet” or “Tablets” in the Google Image search and you will not (probably) see the photos of pharmaceutical tablets in the top results. It gives the results of only Tablet PCs.

It shows that technology is completely taking the place of other things in the world or it shows that Google has to work on its algorithm.

If you know some other terms or phrases, which are not showing the results as you want or which are not up to the mark, you may write in the comments below.
