LG Display has announced full HD LCD Smartphone Panel that is said to be the world’s first Smartphone panel with a functionality of 1080p HD mobile display. This panel is said to enhance the cloud computing experience.
[hana-code-insert name=’StumbleUpon’ /][hana-code-insert name=’Reddit’ /]This panel has five-inches of display with a pixel density of 440ppi, 16:9 widescreen aspect ratio and 1920×1080 resolutions. It has Advanced High Performance In-Plane Switching (AH-IPS) that is a variant of IPS, which has been introduced for wide viewing angles, fast response times and efficient brightness.
“As smartphones become increasingly valued for how well they do multimedia and with the rapid growth of LTE enabling faster large file transfers, our new 5″ Full HD LCD panel is certain to prove a significant asset to the mobile market,” said Sang-Deok Yeo, CTO and Executive Vice President of LG Display. “With the world’s highest resolution smartphone display, LG Display continues to remain a step ahead in developing the most innovative in display technology products.”
This display is found to be released by the second half of this year. However, it would be placed for exhibition for the first time at SID 2012 Display Week in Boston starting June 4.
