Google’s Chrome and Windows’ Internet Explorer are fighting for top position in browsing market

Google’s Chrome has become the World’s No. 1 browser. Isn’t this interesting, Google is No. 1 website in case of visitors and Google’s Chrome is No. 1 in browsing internet.

Digital analytics service has recently released data, based on the page-view data of 3 million websites, showing that the Google’s Chrome web browser has just passed the Microsoft’s Internet Explorer to become the world’s most used browser. According to StatCounter, 31.88% of the world’s web traffic came from Google’s Chrome – making a sustainable browsing history of No. 1 for more than a week – while a slightly small percentage, i.e. 31.47%, of the world’s web traffic came from Microsoft’s Internet Explorer (IE).

There are some other services such as Net Applications, which shows a 54% market share of IE and 19% market share of Chrome while Firefox is above Chrome with 20% of marketshare. This large number is based on the number of visitors and a large percentage of marketshare of IE has been attributed to its default browser case in Windows. 90% of world’s computers still use Windows operating system.
