After a large number of rumours, Apple Inc. has finally unveiled its latest highly anticipated 23000 sq ft flagship retail store in a large space above the Great Hall at Grand Central Terminal in Manhattan, New York, at 10 A.M. on Friday December 9, attracting thousands of shoppers, as always, nationwide to experience the fifth Apple store in the city.
It is one of the biggest Apple outlets. Forbes has very beautifully described its design,
And it’s magnificent.
Perched atop a grand staircase at the center of the cavernous commuter hub, the spare tables and austere 21st century products on display contrast with the Beaux-Arts style terminal’s stonework beautifully.
The Apple logo is more conservatively displayed inside the Grand Central location, and the architecture of the store’s set up blends in with the overall design of GCT.
The Grand Central location also feature two Genius Bars, and, just for commuters: 15-minute express classes on using Apple products.
More than 300 people will be employed at the newest Apple store, making it a good spot for Christmas shopping and, if those rumors are true, snagging the iPad 3 in February.
