Stock Market rises on Tuesday

U.S. stocks rise on Tuesday with the Nasdaq and S&P 500 gaining 2.27%  and 2% increase respectively according to the reports of Reuters.

The Standard & Poor’s 500 (S&P 500) Index was up by 2% or 22.51 points and came at 1,146.33. 

The Nasdaq Composite Index was up by 2.27% or 53.32 points and came at 2,398.70.

The Dow Jones industrial average was up by 1.82% or 197.39 points and came at 11,052.04.

Technology and other related stocks control larger gains of markets.

According to some analysts, this gain is in the hope that Bernanke will announce some good measures to promote economy.

An earthquake of 5.9 magnitude in Virginia hit the U.S. East Coast. The shaking and trembling movements hit the floor of New York Stock Exchange but the business was uninterrupted.
