Lymphoma

Tumor of lymph node is known as Lymphoma. It is also known Malignant lymphoma.

Lymphoma are among the most treatable cancers.

Types of lymphomas:

Two types of lymphoma are as follows:

1. Hodgkin’s disease:

Hodgkin’s disease mostly attacks between 20-30 years of age. It is highly curable probably because of advancements in bone marrow transplants. Though it is a rare type of disease.

2. Non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma:

Non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma affects T and/or B-cells. These cells become abnormal and continue to divide again and again. Non-Hodgkin’s disease mostly affects at 50 years of age. There are almost 10 different forms of lymphoma.

Non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma and lymphoma of the brain are most often occurs after AIDS.

Metastasis:

Non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma can spread to any other body parts.

Symptoms of Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma:

1. Fever

2. Unexplained weight loss

3. Swollen and painless lymph nodes in the groin area, armpits and/or neck

4. Continuous type of weakness and tiredness

5. Coughing or trouble breathing

6. Pain, swelling or a feeling of fullness in the abdomen
