Google purchases Sage TV

Sage TV have been teamed up with Google as announced by Sage TV.

Sage TV is well known set top box hardware and software company. Sage TV has announced, “By teaming up with Google, we believe our ideas will reach an even larger audience of users worldwide on many different products, platforms and services. ” With this announcement Sage TV has removed online store from its website and now showing only this announcement.

However, the users will remain interacted with the company through the community forums that will remain open throughout process of change through Google.

“We’ve seen how Google’s developer efforts are designed to stimulate innovation across the web, and as developers have played a core role in the success of SageTV, we think our shared vision for open technology will help us advance the online entertainment experience,” mentioned by SageTV’s announcement.

Sage TV started working in 2002. SageTV has produced versatile DVR software that works with Mac OS X, Windows and Linux operating systems. The software’s fexibility makes it possible to turn almost any computer with a TV tuner card into the primary hub of a home entertainment system.

Sage TV accepts any file format of audio, video or photo sharing. Sage TV machine includes Internet video and Netflix support, commercial auto-skip and clean, easy navigation.
